    "Catharsis" is a debut album of piano trio Mind Tree - an ensemble of three young and promising Slovenian musicians - drummer Žiga Smrdel, bassist Peter Smrdel, and pianist Matic Štemberger, that focuses on creating original music, mainly influenced by jazz, improvised and classical music, and alternative genres.

    The album was released in April 2023 and received excellent reviews. The title track “Catharsis,” composed by Matic Štemberger was awarded the prize for the best Slovenian composition by the jury of the Jazzon competition, and the composition "Mind Trip"won the prize of the international jury for the best original composition at the global competition "7 Virtual Jazz Club."
